The band's fifth album, Humanz, was released after a seven-year hiatus on 28 April 2017. became a music producer for the band after more than 10 years providing the voice of Russel and was credited as such alongside Albarn and Hewlett in the official 2019 documentary Gorillaz: Reject False Icons. Their fourth album, The Fall (2010), was recorded on the road during the Escape to Plastic Beach Tour and released on 25 December 2010. Gorillaz' music often features collaborations with a wide range of featured artists, with Albarn as the only permanent musical contributor. Their fictional universe is presented in music videos, interviews, comic strips and short cartoons. The band primarily consists of four animated members: 2-D ( vocals, keyboards), Murdoc Niccals ( bass guitar), Noodle ( guitar, keyboards, vocals), and Russel Hobbs ( drums). It's a lot more experimental compared to Demon Days, but if you don't like a song skip it because the next one might sound totally different.Gorillaz are an English virtual band formed in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, from London, England. The covers are definitely professionally produced, but re-hash in particular is an abomination compared to the original IMO. While you're at it, go through the first Gorillaz album as well, which the other half of the songs on that tribute album are from. I can't imagine not growing up on this version of the album, but this was a trip of a post to read. This means you've been missing out on the gapless songs, half the songs on the actual album (Intro, Last Living Souls, El Manana, Every planet we reach is dead, November has come (Can't imagine demon days without DOOM), All Alone, White Light, Fire coming out of the monkey's head, Don't get lost in heaven, and the titular track, Demon Days.) You can play the samples and hear they're the same as the ones OP posted. Looks like it contains a mixture of songs from Demon Days and Gorillaz (the first album), with a similarly inspired album cover, but NOT the demon days cover for sure. The release date of Demon Days was May 11th, 2005, so while you may have gotten the CD on the release day of the tribute, that would've been at least 5 months after the initial release date of the album.
